Two vehicles, one plan

The gold helicopter firing in flight

1PHelicopter

Flies free in eight directions with inertia and banking. Fires forward, launches rockets and drops the heavy missile that splits rock. Mind the wind: gusts push it off course.

The jeep with a machine gun skidding among explosions

2PJeep

Drives on the ground, jumps mines and rubble and aims its machine gun in an arc overhead: ceiling turrets, jets and drones. On PC you choose how it aims; on mobile it aims by itself.

Playing alone? A bot drives the other vehicle: it keeps formation, dodges, picks targets and avoids magma. When a second player joins, they take its seat.

Bring the mountain down on them

Missiles blow mountains apart and whatever loses its support collapses. Bullets cut through rock.

Crushing enemies with rocks or an avalanche pays a bonus. The final boss, a giant mech, can be buried too.

Liquids that fight each other

Particles simulated on the GPU, not set dressing: the materials react with each other and hurt, you included.

Water
Puts out fire, cools magma, pushes and makes you skid in puddles.
Magma
Burns and melts snow. The colder it gets, the thicker, until it crusts over.
Acid
Eats into and digs out the rock where it lands.
Obsidian
Cooled magma: bears weight, blocks the way and cracks under explosions.
Snow
Piles up on the slope and comes down in avalanches that sweep vehicles away.
Steam
Water on magma: it boils and scalds whoever passes.
Toxic gas
A cloud the wind carries from side to side.

Alpine level: ten minutes and a mech

Version 1.0 brings one complete level, 10 to 12 minutes plus the boss, with four stretches and a mini-boss in each.

  1. Valley

Armoured column: a tank, two APCs and a radar tank, on the move.

  2. Cave

A drilling worm breaks the rock and releases the magma pocket.

  3. Snowy slope

A gunship helicopter sets off avalanches with rockets.

  4. Military base

A bunker gate with laser turrets and tanks rolling out of the hangars.

  5. Boss

The giant mech: fires from the mountain, leaps into the valley and loses its arms.

Weather and time that change the run

Dawn, day, dusk or night; clear, cloudy, rain, storm or snow. Wind shakes the helicopter and pushes rockets off line; snow and smoke warn of a gust just before it hits. At night it is all headlights, enemy searchlights and the glow of magma.

Against the clock

A timer always on screen, money for every enemy, a shop between levels and power-ups during the run. Four difficulties —Easy, Normal, Hard and Veteran, unlocked by beating the level— with separate time tables, solo and co-op.
